If you’re interested in taking home one of our kittens, the first step is to fill our Kitten Application.

  • Yes, we are registered with The International Cattery Association and we voluntarily commit to their Outstanding Cattery Code of Ethics. All of our kittens are eligible for TICA registration, purebred Maine Coons.

  • We are a closed cattery, so we do not allow visitors. This is to protect the health and safety of our cats and kittens, and ourselves.

You can schedule a video call with the kittens and Joanna before reservation day to see how the kittens interact, and after you’ve reserved a kitten before homecoming. I post videos and pictures of the kittens frequently in the private FB group.

  • Our breeding cats were selected from healthy lines with no known or reported health issues. They undergo Optimal Selection Wisdom Panel genetic testing and are completely clear of known genetic mutations that cause common health issues in Maine Coons. Pedigrees are test-mated and analyzed for breeding safety. Both receive regular veterinary care and have no clinical symptoms of HCM or HD. Adult cats undergo yearly HCM screening echocardiograms and hip dysplasia screening X rays while they are in the breeding program.

We do this extensive research on our lines and serial health testing as part of our ethical commitment breed healthy kittens for our families.

  • Due to our cats extensive health testing, we proudly offer a 1 year health guarantee for heritable diseases: hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, hip dysplasia, and polycystic kidney disease. More detailed information is available in the adoption contract.

Wee do not guarantee against contagious illnesses once the kittens have left our cattery.

Many feline health issues are triggered by stress. We’ll help you make kitten’s transition to your home as low-stress as possible! Other health problems in Maine coons are exacerbated by lifestyle, such as diet and activity, so we also offer cat care recommendations for new owners.

  • Our cats and kittens are fed Blue Buffalo and Royal Canin wet kitten food until the age of 18 months, and anytime a female is pregnant or nursing. Then they can transition to adult cat food.

It’s important to feed Maine Coons a protein rich diet with a high moisture content to promote health and longevity.

Budgetary considerations: our male eats about 4-6 cans of canned wet kitten food per day, plus some dry food. That’s about $10/day just to feed one large male Maine coon!

  • Maine coon history is fascinating and mysterious! Domestic cats are not native to the American continent, but they are believed to have arrived with colonizing Europeans on ships. There are only two breeds of cats that originated in the United States: the American Short Hair and the Maine coon. When Maine coons were noticed by cat fanciers on farms and around harbors in Maine, their popularity soon grew from local to national. They’ve continued to win hearts because of their loving companionship, affectionate nature, and unique appearance.
